Wow, went back to work and things were a lot different. Don't know what is going on. The "company" is offering what they call a VRIF- a voluntary reduction in force. If you take it, you get a severance package based on how many years you have been there. Mine would be pretty decent, I have worked for the "company" for 12 years. However, I still want to work there so I won't be taking it.
I got in touch with a guy who I knew back when I did my pro wrestling thing. A wrestler by the name of Mike Modest. Nice guy. Most of the wrestlers who I worked with are not even in wrestling anymore- it's pretty brutal. One of the wrestlers worked for United Airlines as a mechanic in his '9 to 5' job and apparently a few years back he fell out of a 747 and hurt himself pretty badly. I was sad to hear that.
I watch the television show "Intervention" on A & E on Mondays sometime. I am always encouraged by that show because most of the addicts get clean. It is so amazing how much better they look once they have broken the bondage of addiction.
Drinking a Diet 7-Up as I write. Gotta run....
