Well, it's the weekend. I've been fortunate, I haven't had to work my "day job" since December 24th and that was only a half day.
So, I have been a little lazy lately, although I have had a few projects to work on with family members, friends and around the house.
I'm working on a book presently. It seems to be going well. I was working on it about six months ago ... but then I ran out of interest. Since picking up the urge again to write, it's been going very well. It is a book about economics.
I do a show on Friday nights called The Big Finale. I am looking forward to the guests that are booked this month. From the outside looking in, I had no idea how much work goes into hosting a program ...even for only one hour per week.
I have no idea how people host 4-5 hours of programming per day. Obviously, that is what they do for a living. My one hour of internet radio requires me to do hours of reading, research, and then formulating appropriate, insightful questions. Preparation is everything and seems to work for me because guests often remark on the fact that I have "done my homework." Nonetheless, it takes a big commitment.
For some reason, I love doing it. I really do. Although, there is a certain amount of stress involved when you are 'under the gun' and needing to finish your prep work, staring head on into a deadline. It can get a bit stressful.
Ate at Marie Callendar's today. It was ok but something is lacking at that restaurant that used to be there. For one thing, they don't have antiques (probably they were fake antiques back then) all over the place like they used to.
Hope all of you have a great weekend.
